Can we detect simultaneous coincidences?
Using 4 scintillators you measured the rate of cosmic rays at one location and the rate of simultaneous coincidences at two different locations.
Perhaps include:
1. Your raw data.
2. An appropriate graphical representation of your data.
3. Discussion of the results.
Some questions you might want to incorporate into your writeup:
1. Were there coincidences between all 4 counters? What does this tell us?
2. What happened when the 4 counters were moved apart? What did you expect?
2. What happened to the observed rate of coincidences between 2 stationary counters? What does this tell us about the results for the 4 counter coincidences?
