Spring 2006 Session

PHY579, Special Topics for Physics Teachers is a class for physics teachers. This course is a hands on course on modern physics. Projects are proposed at the begning of each semester and followed up as a group activity. This semester the group is working on a cloud chamber with magnetic field. In the process we built a inexpensive magnetic field sensor and calibrated it to map out the magnetic field. Improvisation is the name of the game in this class. We have adopted The Rock as our pet.
