Welcome to the Wiki page for the Radar Location activity for the Mariachi 2008 Summer Workshop. This page contains an introductory presentation, and information related to the experiments that will be conducted.
Introductory Presentation
Experiment Information
Experiment #1
Using the first experiment setup, measure the time delays for the transmitted signal to reach each of the three receiver stations.
Calculate the location of the vehicle assuming that the locations of the receivers are:
- Receiver 1: (204, 0)
- Receiver 2: (0, 153)
- Receiver 3: (0, 0)
Experiment #2
Using the first experiment setup, measure the time delays for the transmitted signal to reach each of the three receiver stations.
Calculate the location of the vehicle assuming that the locations of the receivers are:
- Receiver 1: (342.38, 0)
- Receiver 2: (0, 0)
- Receiver 3: (0, 210.96)
Experiment #3
Using the second experiment setup, measure the time delays for the transmitted signal to reach each of the three receiver stations.
Calculate the location of the vehicle assuming that the locations of the receivers are:
- Receiver 1: (250, 0)
- Receiver 2: (0, 0)
- Receiver 3: (0, 99.3)
