About Me

My name is Samuel Bryant and I am going to be a junior at Bay Shore High School. This is my second year attending this workshop.

Music, Math, Physics, and literature is my life. I am a vegetarian, an atheist Unitarian, and a pacifist. I love to read and play guitar and piano. In music, I love everything. The bands I would currently consider my favorite are Death Cab for Cutie, State Radio, Dispatch, Bob Marley, Radiohead, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Streetlight Manifesto, The Clash, Modest Mouse, Jeff Buckley, and the Weepies.

I have been playing guitar for 5 years and piano for 1. I am mostly a muscisian but I love all forms of art and creativity in general. I love to compose music for both instruments but I also am learning classical guitar. I am currently working on Capricho Arabe for the guitar.

This is the prototype I made for a Kawasaki rose with my stem and leaves. This is not a very good one

My favorite books ever are: The Lord of the Rings, The Portrait of Dorian Gray, the Fall, by Albert Camus, Through The Looking Glass, and His Dark Materials Trilogy by Phillup Pulman. My favorite writers of all time are: Ralph Waldo Emerson, T.S. Elliot, Edgar Allen Poe, Oscar Wilde, John Keats,Fyodor Dostoyevsky, and Albert Camus.

My favorite people of all time are Tomas Jeffreson, Noam Chompsky, Leon Trotsky, Albert Einstein, Richard Feynman, Nicola Telsa, Ghandi, and Liu Bang.-Liu Bang was a commoner in China, who accidentally let convicts escape that he was in charge of monitering. To avoid the severe punishment he joined the current Chinese revolution and became the next emperor of China. Ya gotta love that mentality

I also love to Surf, Snowboard, and Fold Origami.

I read about math and physics books on a regular basis because I am a loser like that. Currently I am reading Six Not So Easy Pieces, which were originally lectures given by Richard Feynman. To any fellow physics losers I would recommend reading The Elegant Universe by Brian Greene, and if you are up to a challenge, The Road To Reality; A Complete Guide to the Laws of the Universe by Roger Penrose.

My Stuff.

I would make a better wiki but being as I am an active file sharer, itunes gift cards mean nothing to me.

Summary

This MARIACHI workshop overall was an amazing experiance. I got a chance to experiance what it is like to work with physics at the research level. Also the exetreme amounts of cool demonstrations and presentations were awesome too. It gave me an oppurtunity to express my interest in physics to other people who actually care about it. The workshop also attracted a lot of people that I feel like I share a common interest in. It was funny as hell too.
